This
traditional cottage is set on the hillside in a quiet location
with wonderful views over the Furness fells. Ideally placed
for Kendal, Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands, South Lake District,
Ulverston and Furness region. Kate’s Cottage is ideal for
walking and visiting places of interest, e.g. Haverthwaite
steam railway, Fell Foot Park, Holker Hall or a day at Cartmel
horse races, (May/August bank holidays).
The beautifully fitted kitchen is very well equipped. There
is a T.V./video in the lounge with easy chairs and the large
comfortable sofa bed. The open fire makes the room very cosy.
Kate’s Cottage has electric heaters throughout, enabling it to
be warm and welcoming at any time of the year. Upstairs is a
double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shower room with a W.C.
and washbasin. The larger bathroom is up the stairs in the
porch and contains a bath with an overhead shower, W.C. and a
washbasin. Kate’s Cottage is tastefully furnished
throughout. |

A feature of Kate’s Cottage is the
beautiful terraced garden where guests can relax on
summer evenings enjoying a barbecue/drinks while
watching the sunset over the fells. There is adequate
private parking and a shed is available for the storage
of bikes. Linen, electricity, coal and wood is included.
Well behaved dogs are welcome downstairs only. Kate’s
Cottage offers good accommodation in the heart of South
Lakeland.
